Ravi V. Bellamkonda serves as provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at Emory University. As the institution’s chief academic officer, he ensures the quality of undergraduate, graduate and professional education and advances Emory’s progress as an eminent research university. The deans of all the schools at Emory report to the provost on all academic matters.

As vice provost for academic innovation and interim director of the Emory Continuing Education (ECE) program, Paul Welty is responsible for Facet, the enterprise-wide faculty database; the Hatchery, a center through which Emory's student creators and entrepreneurs can experience all stages of innovation from inspiration and learning to projects and startups; and ECE, which helps people broaden their skills and contribute to changing workplace needs.
Welty brings to Emory more than 20 years of experience in the technology and marketing industries, where he has built solutions, teams, and organizations that address business problems with modern technology at companies such as North Highland, Sparks Grove, Synaxis, and the Merge Agency.

As the inaugural director of the Emory Center for AI Learning, he promotes artificial intelligence (AI) literacy and community across Emory University.

Zachary Peskowitz

Zachary Peskowitz, PhD, is an associate professor of political science at Emory and an expert on how elections affect public policy outcomes. His research uses statistical and survey methods to understand how electoral rules affect who participates, how the electoral environment affects candidates' campaign strategies and politicians' behavior in office, and how well politicians represent the opinions of their constituents. He has conducted and analyzed public opinion surveys to measure citizen attitudes on policy issues in Atlanta, across Georgia, and nationwide.
LLMs Usage in Academia: A Discussion on Qualitative Research
Marcia Ash is a mixed-methods researcher and PhD candidate in the Department of Behavioral, Social, and Health Education Sciences at Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health. Her research broadly focuses on the implementation of behavioral interventions and digital tools to address mental health inequities. Marcia also has industry experience as a User Experience Researcher, most recently at LinkedIn. As a Research Fellow at the Center for AI Learning, Marcia is studying the application of large language models to support qualitative data analysis.

Deanna Kaplan, PhD is the Director of the Human Experience and Ambulatory Technologies (HEAT) Lab, a multidisciplinary collaboration between the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine and Emory Spiritual Health. She is an advisor for this Delphi study, and she is appointed faculty for several Emory centers, including the Winship Cancer Institute, Emory Spiritual Health, and the ADJUST Center.

Sasha Smith is a former technology consultant who worked in the e-commerce, human capital and DEI. In addition to her MSW she also has an MBA from the University of Maryland.
